"We always told the truth... honest... really..."

Rumsfeld, Bush, and Cheney

"Alrighty then" (said with a Jim Carrey accent) ... how about this story (May 11, 2009) that still ties into current events? A couple of highlights that the public must never lose sight of:

Former Vice president Dick Cheney said Bush’s “enhanced interrogation” methods, I think it was absolutely the right thing to do. I am convinced, absolutely convinced, that we saved thousands, perhaps hundreds of thousands of lives.”

Wow - but Mr. Cheney, the truth of the matter — as this 2004 CIA report purportedly shows (and is well-documented) — is that “enhanced interrogation (buzzword for torture)” does not work.

In fact, torture endangers American lives and helps terrorists recruit new foot soldiers.
