Trump doubles down on use of torture. I have posted on this subject going way back and very extensively. Trump now says he would bring waterboarding back and even more since it works. He would advocate for more torture, to coin an old Dick Cheney phrase: “It would be big time.”

Trump’s statements on waterboarding and torture from other sources:

I want to reemphasize for Mr. Donald J. Trump that waterboarding is illegal, unlawful, and a war crime and has been for decades.  

Trump implies if he were President that another White House OLC memo to him that says: “Waterboarding is not torture and thus we say it is okay, so go ahead” would cover his ass like it covered George W. Bush’s and that would be just fine and dandy, or so it seems.  

Proven facts by numerous interrogators is simple: Torture does not work, and yes, waterboarding is torture. It only works for its intended purpose: To inflict pain; not to gather critical military information.
